Magnatone Hearing Aids- It All Begins With You
By David Faulkner
In the forty years since Beverly Campbell acquired the Magnatone Hearing Aid Company, the Campbell family have developed a reputation putting them among the premier hearing device makers in the industry.
Magnatone hearing aids include models for those whose hearing loss ranges from mild to profound, in custom designs with in-the-ear, behind-the-ear, and completely-in-the–canal models.
The construction of a single Magnatone hearing aid included, astonishingly, more than a hundred different processes, each one of which has been thoroughly analyzed to make sure it adds to the performance of the finished product. Every Magnatone hearing aid is also made to meet the specifications of a single individual, incorporating both cutting edge technology and meticulous craftsmanship. Hence the Magnatone Hearing Aid Company motto, “It all begins with you.”
The Latest Magnatone Innovations
In January of 2007, Magnatone introduced their ground-breaking Monet Shadow-X Intended for use as an inexpensive but sophisticated hearing device for those millions of Baby Boomers who will be experiencing high-frequency hearing loss over the next decade, the Shadow-X Magnatone hearing aid is pre-programmed, and has volume control and four separate memories, including one which mutes for compatibility with phone use.
The Shadow-X also offers the comfort of active feedback and noise reduction and has a digital speech enhancement feature. The Shadow-X, in addition, is a one of the Magnatone Hearing aids available in the Open Earstyle known for its comfort and streamlined design. Its extremely thin sound tubing is almost unnoticeable.
The Magnatone Hearing Aids companion to the Shadow-X, the Shadow-Z, is even more advanced, with directional microphones and programmable output compression.
The Magnatone Warranties
Magnatone Hearing Aids are covered by some of the most generous warranties in the hearing aids industry. All Magnatone hearing aids worn in the ear are warrantied for one full year from the date of shipment for defects in wither materials or workmanship; those interested can get an extended warranty, for either twenty-four or thirty-six months from the date of shipment, which will cover all the ITE Magnatone hearing aid’s electronics. They must purchase the extra coverage within ninety days of their hearing device having been shipped.
All behind the ear Magnatone hearing aids have the same one-year warranty against defective material or workmanship which covers the ITE instruments, but the purchaser of a BTE Magnatone hearing aid has a full six months in which to activate the warranty. The warranty will not go into effect until the purchaser calls his or her Magnatone hearing aids customer service agent to activate it, and will continue for twelve months from the date of activation. For those who do not activate the warranty, its effective date will revert to the date of shipment.
